This crazy Texas weather!!! Gail has a beautiful patio and garden and has wanted a family portrait outside in her little private oasis. I had envisioned something out of a magazine, very cool and casual in a gorgeous zen like setting. Today, like so many other days, it just poured down in buckets. Because rescheduling was simply not an option we took it inside.
13 total... a big group to get into a portrait inside - but when you have a good room to work with - it is definitely possible.
Congratulations to Sherry and Scott. They had a beautiful and intimate backyard wedding. The rain stayed away and blue skies prevailed. The guys were cool in their crisp linen shirts and the bride wore a gown accented with red embroidery to match all the little details.
This was a fun couple! I photographed a first tonight when the bride and groom changed into their bathing suits and jumped in the pool to kick off the reception.
I am a Dallas Native who temporarily relocated to Memphis. Today my home is in the charming town of Waxahachie, Tx. I'm a photographer by trade, a wife, mother of one, and a runner.
